New Features: Pointstreak Stats (Summer 2009)

Pointstreak's SUMMER 2009 development cycle (covering July, August & September) saw numerous and broad improvements across all of our league management solutions as well as some major new initiatives.

With the launch of Pressbox Services (www.pressboxservices.com) for the Texas High School Coaches Association, new statistical solutions were introduced for football and volleyball with more sports in the pipeline. Also released was GAME LIVE for football, an amazing Flash application that graphically displays real-time football stats over an image of a football field.

Perhaps the most innovative feature in SUMMER 2009 was the integration of Pointstreak Registration with Team Locker Room, which enables team representatives to distribute their team fee across teammates and then have those teammates pay online through Pointstreak's online registration system. We expect this innovation to speed up your cash collection as well as reduce team rep burn-out and therefore improve customer retention.

 

Major Developments:

- Pointstreak Stats BASEBALL: GAME LIVE data now includes real-time inning by inning, play by play baseball statistics.
- Pointstreak Stats FIELD HOCKEY: More Field Hockey customizations added to Pointstreak Scoring for Laptop/PCs, including support for field goals, penalty stroke & penalty corner, as well as field hockey terminology (umpires, goalkeepers and players instead of skaters).
- Major release for Pointstreak Scoring for Laptop/PC: Stable version 2.8.3L rolls up many previous functionality and improvements, such as quick key entry, support for variable period lengths, improved stability, etc.
- Linking players across leagues: For Pointstreak Stats PRO admins (HOCKEY/LACROSSE/SOCCER), the ability to trade players to another Pointstreak Stats league or retroactively link a player's stats profile to his/her previous league.

-Texas High School Coaches Association (www.pressboxservices.com):
--> Pointstreak Stats FOOTBALL released. Football stats pages created: 'GAME LIVE' (real-time Flash app), scoreboard, individual stats, standings, team statistics, schedules, rosters, news, videos, photos. "Game Live" for Football created, a Flash application that displays scores & stats in real-time and also allows viewers to replay the game's drives & other stats in sequential order.
--> Pointstreak Stats VOLLEYBALL released. Volleyball stats pages created: scoreboard, schedule, standings, etc.
--> Communication tools: League admins have ability to send out team scores to auomated email distribution list, such as media, coaches, fans, bloggers, etc.

Minor Developments:

- Ability to track Affiliated Players (AP): New options listed under "Experience" when editing a player's profile. Players with AP options can be selected for games, but do not appear on the Pre-Game Report.
- Ability to add Referees to Pre-Game Report: For Pointstreak Stats PRO customers, League Admins can now edit scheduled games and add Referees and Linemen so that these fields populate the Pre-Game Report. Optionally, Referees can be assigned to scheduled games and then displayed on the public league schedule page.
- Non-sudden death OT: Ability to support leagues whose OT period is running time, not sudden death. This prevents the system from displaying UNOFFICIAL FINAL on the league scoreboard when a goal is scored in OT.
- Player Agent Report: An optional report within Pointstreak Stats admin tools (HOCKEY/LACROSSE/SOCCER) that displays agencies, the name of player agents, how many and which players the agents represent.
- Pointstreak Stats BASEBALL:
--> Double Play/Triple Play Wizard leads the scorer through the process of scoring a DP or TP.
--> Improved system for dealing with suspended and postponed games.
--> Inning by Inning team stats up to 29 innings breaks out the runs scored/runs allowed, by inning.
